Role Overview:
We are looking for a highly skilled and proactive Client-Facing Full-Stack Engineer with PHP and JavaScript expertise to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with event organizers to translate their goals into functional, reliable software solutions. You will also be responsible for integrating APIs, enhancing system performance, and ensuring seamless user experiences during live events. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both backend and frontend development, with a keen understanding of client communication and coordination.

Location:
Remote, Full-time, 9 AM – 5 PM EST

Key Responsibilities

– Client Communication & Coordination

– Discuss requirements and options with event organizers (in English and Spanish), setting clear timelines and deliverables.

– Remain highly responsive in each client’s WhatsApp support chat, especially during critical sales periods.

– Event Implementation & Live Support

– Configure, extend, or build platform features—sometimes weaving in new APIs or AI-powered modules—so each event launches smoothly and meets its business goals.

– Monitor logs and metrics during launches and live events; fix urgent issues with minimal downtime.

– Team Communication & Coordination

– Work with developers (other client-facing engineers or core product devs) in other time zones, handing over your work at the end of the working day, or taking handovers from them at the end of their working day.

– Communicate with colleagues in other departments such as sales or account management to plan upcoming work required by existing or new clients.

– Data & Reporting

– Write and tune MySQL queries to extract custom sales, customer, and conversion data.

– Package ad-hoc reports for clients, then integrate those datasets into permanent dashboard sections.

– Possibility of being on an on-call rotation on weekends.

– Back-End Development (PHP)

– Navigate and extend a large, mature PHP codebase—writing clear, well-tested, object-oriented code under tight deadlines and incomplete knowledge.

– Maintain and improve RabbitMQ workers for email, payments, scanning, data exports, and third-party integrations (payments, messaging, blockchain).

– Front-End Adjustments

– Build or tweak small UI pieces in HTML, CSS, and plain JavaScript (or React when needed), including new reporting pages and widgets.

– Continuous Improvement

– Document lessons from every incident or launch.

– Suggest practical refactors, tests, and monitoring to prevent repeat issues.

Skills and Experience

– Fluent, professional English and Spanish—spoken and written (required).

– 3+ years of professional PHP development in large systems.

– Strong object-oriented PHP skills; comfortable working in unfamiliar code and learning fast.

– Solid MySQL knowledge—complex joins, query tuning, index design.

– Experience with REST APIs and OAuth flows.

– Front-end skills with an eye for design and good UX: JavaScript, HTML, CSS; React familiarity a plus.

– Proven ability to debug live systems under pressure and deploy safe fixes.

– Willing to adjust hours around major ticket launches and to travel to events when needed.

Nice to Have

– Background in payment processing, blockchain/Web3 wallets, or AI-powered features.

– Understanding of LLMs and AI models on the engineering/API side, not just ChatGPT.

– Work history in live entertainment or other time-critical environments.

What Success Looks Like

– You quickly match any client request to the right dashboard screen or code path and deliver the change on schedule.

– Ticket launches proceed with near-zero errors and fast checkout times.

– Custom data exports evolve into polished dashboard reports used by all clients.

– Organizers praise your responsiveness (including in WhatsApp) and clear explanations.

– Production issues become less frequent and are resolved faster.
