With a lean and collaborative team structure, the company manages all sales efforts in-house, from outreach and customer engagement to technical support. Their target markets are primarily in the Southern Hemisphere, particularly South America, where warm climates heighten algae-related issues.

Fully Remote | 9 AM – 5 PM EST

Role Overview:
The Sales Executive will oversee the entire sales process, from prospecting to closing. This role requires a professional fluent in both Spanish and English (Portuguese is a plus), capable of conducting outbound outreach, crafting persuasive proposals, and navigating formal business communications across cultures. Focused on Latin American markets, this position acts as both a sales driver and a language bridge between prospects and the internal technical team. The role reports directly to company leadership and collaborates closely with engineering and operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales Outreach & Pipeline Development

– Conduct outbound prospecting, including cold calls and emails, targeting prospects across South America.

– Represent the company at trade shows and networking events (virtual or in person).

– Build and manage a growing pipeline through proactive outreach and consistent follow-up.

Proposal Management & Deal Closure

– Draft formal business proposals in both Spanish and English.

– Lead prospects through the complete sales cycle, addressing objections and negotiating terms.

– Close deals in alignment with pricing models, ensuring accurate documentation.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Support

– Serve as an interpreter during sales calls with non-English-speaking prospects.

– Coordinate with the engineering team to address technical questions and align client expectations.

– Maintain detailed and organized sales documentation using Excel, Word, and Google Docs.

Reporting & Documentation

– Track prospecting activities and results using Excel and Google Sheets.

– Submit regular reports detailing lead progression, pipeline health, and closed sales.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience

– 3+ years of experience in a full-cycle sales or Account Executive role.

– Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas in a commission-driven environment.

– Confident experience with outbound prospecting and cold calling.

– Bachelor’s degree required (preferably in Business, Marketing, Sales, or related fields).

– Background or familiarity with aquatic ecosystems, limnology, watersheds, water treatment, wastewater treatment, or microbiology is highly valued.

Skills

– Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English required; Portuguese proficiency is a plus.

– Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both languages, with the ability to produce persuasive and technically accurate proposals.

– Strong organizational and documentation skills, with attention to detail.

– Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; familiarity with CRM systems is a plus.

– Collaborative mindset and ability to work cross-functionally with technical and sales teams.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

– Consistently meets or exceeds monthly sales quotas, particularly during peak algae seasons.

– Develops a robust and high-quality pipeline across South America and surrounding regions.

– Closes deals with minimal technical intervention needed.

– Earns positive feedback from internal teams for collaboration and ownership.

– Maintains organized and transparent reporting systems that enable visibility into sales performance.
