Role Overview
The Social Media Specialist will play a key role in shaping the company’s social media presence through engaging, performance-driven short-form video content on Instagram and TikTok. Reporting to the Social Media Director, this role blends creative direction, storytelling, and on-camera personality to help define the brand’s social voice and aesthetic.
This is not a typical content role; it requires a balance of creativity, strategy, and analytical thinking. The ideal candidate thrives in testing new ideas, trends, and storytelling formats, bringing energy and authenticity to every piece of content. You’ll collaborate closely with the creative team to bring campaigns, product launches, and brand stories to life.
Key Responsibilities
– Concept, film, and edit short-form videos that highlight products, storytelling, and lifestyle moments.
– Test creative angles, trending audio, and new storytelling formats to drive engagement and conversions.
– Collaborate with the Social Media Director and creative team to ensure alignment with the brand’s tone, brand message, and campaign strategy.
– When not appearing on camera, source and direct on-camera talent.
– Create a mix of organic, aspirational, and UGC-style content that feels authentic and elevated.
– Review content performance metrics and optimize strategy based on engagement and conversion results.
Qualifications
Experience
– Proven experience creating social-first video content for brands or personal platforms.
– Deep understanding of TikTok and Instagram trends and storytelling styles.
– Experience with fashion, lifestyle, or body-positive brands is a plus.
– Proficiency in all stages of content creation.
– Experience working with U.S. market brands, apparel DTC brands.
– Experience with an American apparel brand, the American market, and influencers.
Skills
– Strong on-camera presence and confident, natural energy.
– Proficient video editing skills using tools such as CapCut, InShot, or similar.
– Creative, proactive, and comfortable working independently.
– Strong communication and collaboration skills.
– Photography or design skills are a plus.
– Ability to travel to the U.S. on short notice (dual citizenship or visa flexibility) is a plus.
