Role Overview
The Video Editor will craft emotionally resonant, high-impact video content that captures attention within seconds and strengthens the brand’s storytelling across social platforms. This role requires both creative flair and technical precision, blending an understanding of video content psychology with the ability to produce scroll-stopping edits that drive engagement.
The ideal candidate is proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro and/or DaVinci Resolve, comfortable working in fast-paced environments, and eager to collaborate with a dynamic creative team to bring ideas to life.
Key Responsibilities
Video Editing & Content Production
– Edit raw footage into high-quality, engaging video content for platforms including Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
– Apply short-form content psychology principles (3-second rule, pacing, emotion, retention) to maximize audience engagement.
– Incorporate transitions, text overlays, captions, and motion graphics to enhance storytelling.
– Collaborate with the marketing and creative teams to execute campaigns and product stories.
– Maintain consistent visual identity and brand integrity across all video outputs.
Creative Collaboration & Iteration
– Partner with the creative team to understand campaign goals and messaging.
– Apply feedback thoughtfully and efficiently to refine edits.
– Propose creative ideas for new formats, styles, and storytelling approaches.
– Deliver all assets on schedule while upholding high quality and brand standards.
Technical Execution
– Use Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve for editing and post-production.
– Manage and organize project files efficiently to ensure smooth workflows.
– Optimize videos for various platforms and aspect ratios (9:16, 1:1, 16:9).
– Familiarity with AI-assisted video tools is a strong advantage.
Qualifications
Experience
– 2+ years of experience in video editing for social media or digital campaigns.
– Experience working with FMCG or lifestyle brands preferred.
– Demonstrated ability to deliver content optimized for engagement and conversion.
Skills
– Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro; DaVinci Resolve experience is a plus.
– Understanding of storytelling, rhythm, pacing, and viewer psychology in short-form content.
– Knowledge of AI tools for video editing or creative workflows is advantageous.
– Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
– Excellent communication skills and openness to feedback.
– Creative, collaborative, and capable of performing under tight deadlines.
