Job Description

We’re seeking a Senior Rust Engineer to play a key role in building cutting-edge on-chain security infrastructure. You’ll be part of a fast-moving team developing advanced systems that extend the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) to enhance transaction-level security and performance.

You will design, develop, and optimize mission-critical features while contributing to MLabs’ goal of making blockchain transactions verifiably safe. This is a high-impact, technical position ideal for engineers passionate about security and performance optimization.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and own the development of complex Rust-based features from design to deployment.

• Extend and optimize the EVM to introduce new security layers and improve performance.

• Maintain high standards of testing, documentation, and scalability.

• Collaborate across teams to deliver robust, high-performance infrastructure.

• Contribute innovative ideas to shape MLabs’ roadmap and engineering practices.

Requirements

• Proven experience developing and maintaining large-scale applications in Rust.

• Deep understanding of EVM, Ethereum architecture, and blockchain execution layers.

• Strong background in low-level systems programming, including parallel computing and memory optimization.

• Ability to work independently, with excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with MEV infrastructure, HFT systems, or Ethereum client development.

• Familiarity with observability tools, concurrent data structures, and SRE practices.
