## Job Role
The iOS Platform group establishes the strategic technical path for iOS initiatives at Reddit. Our key audience consists of fellow developers. We focus on boosting engineering productivity by delivering libraries, APIs, frameworks, overseeing performance enhancements, developing reusable modules, refining compilation tools, and more. Within the code repository, we control essential elements like the communication and storage mechanisms. We direct the evolution of the codebase by selecting appropriate architectural styles and tools to implement at Reddit.
In this position on the iOS Platform group, you will construct and advance the core structure supporting every iOS project at Reddit. Your duties will involve creating and deploying fresh functionalities, optimizing current code, and partnering with peers to craft creative approaches that align with Reddit’s rigorous criteria for efficiency, stability, and expandability.
What You’ll Do:
– Act as the primary resource for colleagues tackling intricate challenges in iOS programming.
– Guide innovative functionalities through complete cycles, including initial models, testing, coding, deployment, and ongoing refinements.
– Establish the engineering groundwork to support forthcoming capabilities and user interactions.
## Qualifications
– A Bachelor’s degree or advanced in Computer Science or an equivalent discipline, or comparable practical knowledge.
– At least 5 years of direct, career-level programming experience crafting consumer-oriented iOS native mobile apps on a large scale, utilizing Swift.
– You possess a forward-thinking approach, excelling in crafting enduring technical infrastructures, with enthusiasm for building expandable, thoughtfully architected programs that enhance lives around the world.
– Demonstrated history of directing substantial initiatives that involve teamwork across various departments and roles.
– Innovative mindset. You are autonomous, creative, and oriented toward execution in dynamic settings. You enjoy creating novel solutions and succeed amid uncertainty and challenges.
– Background in partnering with multidisciplinary groups like designers, product managers, and analysts to produce outstanding user interactions.
