About OpenAI

OpenAI is building an AI software engineer through Codex – an intelligent agent that can pair with developers, delegate tasks, and proactively handle future work. The Codex Enterprise team brings the world’s most powerful software engineer to enterprise customers safely, securely, and at scale.

Responsibilities

  • Ship enterprise-grade capabilities for Codex including analytics and compliance logging
  • Design and build robust, full-stack services and APIs for Codex platforms
  • Integrate with enterprise identity and governance systems (SSO/SAML, SCIM, RBAC)
  • Work with GTM teams and enterprises to understand developer workflows
  • Build secure, performant data-access patterns for large customers
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, research, and design teams
  • Own systems end-to-end from architecture to production operations

Qualifications

  • Strong software engineering fundamentals and production system experience
  • Proficiency in backend languages (Python, Go, Rust) and distributed systems
  • Experience building developer tools, CLI/IDE/SDK, or agent environments
  • Hands-on with enterprise foundations (SAML/OIDC, SCIM, RBAC, audit logging)
  • Experience working directly with enterprise customers
  • Comfort with 0→1 environments and navigating ambiguity
  • Focus on reliability, observability, and security
