Position Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced Appian Architect for a full-time, remote position supporting the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA). This is a future opportunity posted as a proposal stage role. This position requires US Citizenship and occasional travel may be required.
As an Appian Architect, you will assume leadership responsibilities in a supportive team environment focused on client success and your professional growth within the IT software development industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with clients, product owners, and stakeholders to design and implement software solutions that best meet business needs
- Plan, lead, and manage resources on complex Appian software development projects
- Mentor and develop Junior and Senior Appian Developers while maintaining current technical knowledge
- Drive architectural decisions and best practices across development teams
- Ensure solutions align with DISA requirements and industry standards
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as software engineering, computer science, or related discipline
- 4 to 5 years of experience leading Appian software development teams
- 8 to 10 years of overall software development engagement experience (Appian preferred)
- Proven experience with databases and system integration
- Demonstrated expertise working in Agile environments
- US Citizenship required for this role
Preferred Qualifications & Differentiators
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Diverse technical expertise including process modeling, user interface design, and data modeling
- Experience with government contracting and DISA systems
- Proven ability to mentor and develop technical teams
- Knowledge of enterprise application architecture and integration patterns
