About the Role

We are seeking experienced and highly motivated engineers to join our Data Organization and help build the future of data at Cloudflare. You will work on the entire data lifecycle—from ingestion and processing to storage and retrieval—powering critical logs and analytics that provide customers with real-time visibility into their online properties' health and performance.

Our mission is to empower customers to leverage their data to drive better business outcomes. You will work on complex distributed systems challenges handling more than one billion events per second across our high-performance, scalable infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Delivery: Build and operate distributed data delivery pipelines—high-throughput, low-latency systems primarily written in Go. Ingest, process, and route massive data volumes from Cloudflare's global network to multiple destinations.
• Database Systems: Develop and maintain distributed database solutions for storing and querying enormous datasets with strict performance requirements.
• Data Retrieval: Design scalable systems enabling efficient retrieval and querying of logs and analytics at scale for real-time customer insights.

What We're Looking For

You should have deep expertise in distributed systems engineering, strong proficiency in systems programming languages, and demonstrated experience building scalable infrastructure. Experience with Go, Rust, or C++ is valuable. We seek builders who identify problems others have normalized and create solutions using modern tools and approaches.
