Key Responsibilities

• Write high-quality sports articles covering matches, teams, players, transfers, and tactical developments.
• Create different content formats such as match previews, analysis, opinion pieces, feature stories, and deep-dive articles.
• Translate complex sports statistics and tactical insights into clear and engaging narratives.
• Deliver well-structured, original, and factually accurate content within agreed deadlines.
• Proactively pitch new article ideas based on trends, fixtures, and audience interests.
• Follow the company’s editorial guidelines, brand voice, and SEO best practices.

Requirements

• Proven experience writing sports-related content (portfolio required).
• Strong knowledge and passion for at least one major sport.
• Ability to analyze matches beyond surface-level commentary.
• Capability to express clear and well-supported opinions using data and context.
• Excellent written English skills and strong attention to detail.
• Native proficiency in one of the Nordic languages.
• Comfortable working independently in a remote freelance environment.
• Basic knowledge of SEO content writing and digital publishing is preferred.
