The Role

As a Staff Software Engineer at DealMaker, you will play a pivotal role in shaping technical architecture and driving the successful delivery of complex, high-impact projects across the business. You will leverage deep understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and system design principles to create robust, scalable, and maintainable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Architecting for the Future: Lead the design and implementation of key architectural components and systems, ensuring they meet current and future business needs. Anticipate scalability challenges, apply security best practices, and align technology choices with long-term organizational strategy. Create and maintain comprehensive architectural documentation while guiding the team in adhering to established design principles.
• Driving Solution Design: Own the technical design and implementation of complex solutions by working closely with product managers, stakeholders, and engineering teams. Translate business requirements into effective technical solutions, make critical design decisions, resolve technical challenges, and ensure solutions are well-documented and maintainable.
• Mentoring and Guiding: Serve as a technical mentor for junior and mid-level engineers, sharing expertise in architecture, design, and problem-solving. Foster a culture of technical excellence through guidance, code reviews, and helping team members develop their skills and knowledge.
• Driving Technical Excellence: Champion best practices in code quality, testing, and software development methodologies. Lead technical discussions, evaluate emerging technologies, and ensure the team maintains high standards for system reliability and performance.
