The Role

The Research team is seeking experienced Project Managers to provide critical operational support and maximize the impact of our portfolio of life-saving and poverty-alleviating programs. This is a full-time, fully remote position supporting GiveWell researchers during their research investigations and grant-making processes. You will be instrumental in ensuring high-impact research is executed efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management of Research & Grantmaking Plans

• Serve as a project management expert managing the execution of research and grantmaking workflows
• Maintain team trackers and project documentation, ensuring alignment with broader team goals
• Manage complex project timelines and deadlines, proactively flagging risks and adjusting schedules based on competing priorities
• Create investigation templates and tools to standardize processes and maintain high research quality
• Oversee high-volume, complex projects to ensure on-time delivery and process adherence

Internal & External Communication & Coordination

• Clearly communicate with project contributors, internal teams, and external stakeholders including grantees
• Develop call agendas, track action items, and communicate clear follow-up steps
• Write professional correspondence to grantees and external contacts to request information, explain processes, and gather feedback
• Report research project status to internal teams and ensure seamless handoffs between research and funding logistics
• Identify and escalate unusual situations to stakeholders early for proactive problem-solving

Attention to Detail & Data Accuracy

• Maintain rigorous standards for all work outputs, from system maintenance to public-facing documents
• Ensure precision in data, citations, and documentation to support transparent research communication
• Update team trackers with current, accurate information
• Uphold reliability and consistency across all project management processes
