Job Description

About Climate Finance Solutions

Climate Finance Solutions (CFS) is a global consultancy dedicated to helping companies and organizations secure large-scale grant funding to develop and scale high-impact climate solutions. With a proven track record of securing over $1.6 billion in grant funding, CFS is mission-driven and committed to providing equitable access to the climate funding ecosystem. The company focuses on supporting climate-related ventures while training and developing high-potential talent to build the next generation of climate finance leaders.

Position Overview

This role offers significant growth potential and provides a unique opportunity to leverage proven grant writing and management expertise to help develop an ambitious venture in an under-resourced segment of the climate industry. The ideal candidate will be mission-driven, a self-starter, and capable of executing both day-to-day responsibilities and driving impactful initiatives across the CFS enterprise. Beyond traditional grant-writing duties, CFS seeks a proactive professional who can work collaboratively with clients to refine projects and business strategies, thereby increasing funding likelihood and overall success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with senior staff, funding directors, fellow grant writers, and administrative teams to develop high-quality proposals through the entire lifecycle: project design, document preparation, and submission
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality standards
  • Synthesize complex information streams to generate compelling proposals, budgets, and supporting documents aligned with funding opportunities and client requirements
  • Conduct research on grant opportunities, funding landscapes, and eligibility criteria
  • Contribute to strategic client advisory services focused on project refinement and funding strategy optimization
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Stay current with climate finance trends, funding mechanisms, and policy developments

Ideal Candidate Profile

You bring proven grant writing experience, ideally within climate, sustainability, renewable energy, or related sectors. Strong research capabilities, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in fast-paced team environments are essential. Your attention to detail, project management proficiency, and ability to synthesize technical information distinguish you as a valuable team member ready to contribute to meaningful climate impact work.
