Role Summary
We are seeking a Staff Product Manager for Networking to define and scale the networking backbone of Lambda's AI Cloud. This critical role encompasses Direct Connect, Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), and Load Balancing services, while advancing high-performance networking for AI and HPC workloads using InfiniBand, RDMA, and low-latency Ethernet technologies.
As the Networking PM, you will shape the services that connect customers securely and efficiently to Lambda, enable distributed training across thousands of GPUs, and ensure the reliability and performance standards required for enterprise adoption at scale.
What You'll Do
- Drive Core Services Platform: Build a robust networking foundation supporting Lambda's full spectrum of offerings—from managed public cloud services to bespoke private cloud environments. Champion the "build once, scale everywhere" philosophy to drive synergies across platforms.
- Own Customer Relationships: Drive and own relationships with Super Intelligence customers by bridging the pre-sales to post-sales lifecycle, partnering cross-functionally with engineering, finance, and marketing teams.
- Design Networking Backbone: Own the strategy and roadmap for core connectivity services including Direct Connect, VPC, and Load Balancers, ensuring secure, high-performance networking that rivals hyperscaler offerings.
- Advance High-Performance AI Networking: Lead the evolution of InfiniBand (HDR/NDR), RoCE/RDMA, and low-latency Ethernet features to optimize distributed training and inference at massive scale.
- Deliver Enterprise-Grade Connectivity: Build private, reliable, and secure networking solutions for enterprise and hybrid environments—from subnets and routing to NAT, peering, and global traffic management.
- Ensure Security & Compliance: Drive encryption in transit, DDoS mitigation, observability, and enterprise compliance standards across all networking offerings.
- Partner Cross-Functionally: Collaborate with engineering, infrastructure, and solutions teams to launch customer-ready services while engaging customers and benchmarking against hyperscalers to shape Lambda's differentiated roadmap.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of product management experience, with 3+ years in infrastructure, cloud networking, or related domains
- Deep technical understanding of networking architectures, protocols, and cloud infrastructure fundamentals
- Proven experience building and scaling complex platform services for enterprise or hyperscaler environments
- Strong cross-functional leadership and ability to drive alignment across engineering, sales, and customer success
- Track record of translating customer needs into compelling product roadmaps and go-to-market strategies
- Experience with high-performance computing, distributed systems, or AI/ML infrastructure is highly valued
- Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate technical concepts to diverse audiences
