The Role

We're seeking experienced fullstack engineers to help us build the future of product development. As a small, generalist team, you'll work across the entire stack (built in TypeScript end-to-end) with significant autonomy and individual responsibility. This is a full-time, remote-first position open to candidates in the US and Europe.

What You'll Do

• Build new user-facing features from database models to GraphQL resolvers and UI components

• Optimize our data synchronization stack by applying better serialization protocols

• Add real-time collaborative editing capabilities to our content editor

• Improve performance by profiling and optimizing virtualized list rendering

• Add analytics, monitoring, and alerts to our services for better operational incident response

• Open-source non-trivial innovations and contributions from our work

• Redefine best-in-class software development processes for purpose-built product development

Technology Stack

You're not expected to have experience with everything listed, but should be excited to work close to product, performance, and real-world scale:

• Frontend: React, MobX, styled-components

• Backend: Node.js, PostgreSQL, Redis, Temporal

• APIs & Data: GraphQL API, proprietary WebSocket data sync framework with offline support

• Infrastructure: Google Cloud, Kubernetes, GitHub

• Agentic Systems: Pluggable agentic workload system utilizing Temporal at production scale

Work Environment

Linear is a remote-first company with intentional moments to connect in person through team off-sites, optional co-working, and occasional travel. We value deep focus and asynchronous collaboration. You'll work from anywhere within the US or Europe regions, joining a small team that cares deeply about work quality and the people involved.
