Job Description

About Moruga Cacao

Moruga is reimagining the future of cacao by bringing pure, unadulterated cacao culture to Europe. We believe in cacao in its finest form—without sugar, without unnecessary additives. Our mission centers on quality, transparency, and genuine passion for exceptional cacao products.

About This Role

We're seeking a creative strategist to own our creative pipeline and discover innovative ways to tell cacao's story across social media. You'll develop story-driven concepts for social media ads and content formats that genuinely captivate audiences—from short, hook-based creatives to educational story-style content. Your approach should prioritize storytelling first while understanding the mechanics that drive successful performance marketing creatives.

Your responsibility is ensuring weekly production of high-quality creatives that are tested, iterated, and continuously feed our paid social channels with fresh content. You'll collaborate closely with our media buyer, marketing lead, and founder, playing a central role in ensuring our ads not only perform but stand out creatively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Creative Concept Development: Develop innovative social media creatives including story-based ads, educational formats, new hooks, and trend-responsive content
  • Creative Pipeline & Testing: Maintain continuous creative production and refinement (hooks, angles, formats) with emphasis on testing and iteration
  • Briefing & Production Management: Translate concepts into clear briefs for UGC creators, editors, designers, and team members—covering story, visuals, editing, and CTAs
  • Performance Analysis & Optimization: Analyze creative performance with the media buyer and develop data-driven creative iterations
  • Trend Scouting: Monitor social media trends, identify viral mechanics early, and adapt them for our brand

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience in social media or performance content creation
  • Strong understanding of paid social advertising
  • Excellent storytelling instinct with mastery of hooks and dramatic structure
  • Experience creating video content and managing creative production
  • Ability to translate ideas into clear, actionable briefs

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Video editing proficiency (CapCut, Premiere Pro, or similar)
  • UGC production experience
  • DTC brand or performance advertising background
  • Creator collaboration experience

Portfolio Required: Please submit a portfolio or relevant work samples to showcase your creative abilities. We value motivation, independent thinking, and authentic personality over perfect credentials.
