The Role
We're seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer to own our data stack end-to-end. You'll join a fast-moving, sharp, and ambitious team that delivers without red tape or politics—just clear ownership, collaboration, and a laser focus on using data to drive business forward.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and Maintain Our Data Backbone: Design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines, data warehouse, and data lake on AWS. Ensure clean, reliable, and scalable data flow across systems while optimising performance, reliability, and data governance throughout the pipeline.
- Create Outstanding Intelligence Dashboards: Develop high-quality, insightful dashboards in Looker. Work closely with business stakeholders to deeply understand KPIs and operational needs. Deliver clear, actionable insights that help teams run the business smarter every day.
- Analyse and Unlock Data Insights: Explore data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement. Partner with leadership to provide analytics that drive decision-making and business change. Communicate complex findings in simple, impactful ways.
What You'll Need
- Strong experience designing and building data pipelines and ETL processes
- Expertise in SQL and data warehousing concepts
- Proven ability to create impactful dashboards and visualisations
- Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS preferred)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Experience working in fast-paced, startup environments is a plus
