The Role

Capstone is seeking an experienced, forward-thinking People Business Partner to lead the People agenda across the London office and broader EMEA region while shaping key global talent and development initiatives. As the senior People leader in-region, you will partner closely with UK and EMEA leadership as a trusted advisor on talent strategy, organizational design, performance management, promotions, and core people matters.

In this strategic position, you will play a key role in shaping organizational culture, strengthening employee engagement, and ensuring UK/EMEA needs are reflected in global programs and policies. You'll advance talent management efforts globally, particularly for investment staff, including career pathways, succession planning, capability assessments, and high-potential identification. This role also involves influencing global learning and development strategy, supporting meaningful performance management processes, and collaborating with People Operations, Recruitment, and Total Rewards teams to deliver a cohesive employee experience.

Key Responsibilities

HR Business Partnering & Leadership

  • Serve as the primary HR Business Partner for the UK and EMEA region, operating as a strategic partner to regional leadership
  • Provide comprehensive HR guidance and counsel to UK/EMEA business leaders, managers, and employees on talent strategy, headcount planning, organizational design, performance management, performance issues, promotions, and people-related matters
  • Lead all UK/EMEA employee relations matters and manage complex HR situations with sensitivity and business acumen

Talent Strategy & Development

  • Develop and implement regional talent strategies aligned with global initiatives
  • Identify and nurture high-potential talent across EMEA regions
  • Contribute to succession planning and capability development for investment and operational staff
  • Partner on career pathways and professional development programs

Culture & Engagement

  • Shape and strengthen regional culture aligned with Capstone's collaborative, innovative values
  • Support meaningful employee engagement initiatives across EMEA
  • Ensure regional voice is heard in global policy development and program design

Strategic Collaboration

  • Work closely with global People function to advance talent management initiatives
  • Influence learning and development strategy at firm level
  • Coordinate with People Operations, Recruitment, and Total Rewards on integrated employee experience delivery

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate is curious, commercially minded, and proactive, thriving in fast-paced environments while balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution. You should have extensive HR business partnering experience in financial services or comparable complex organizations, with demonstrated expertise in talent strategy, organizational design, and employee relations. Strong stakeholder management skills, business acumen, and the ability to influence at senior levels are essential. This role reports to the Head of People and offers a unique opportunity to shape both regional and global talent outcomes.
