About the Role

ServiceNow is seeking a Senior Enterprise Account Executive specializing in State & Local Government sales within the Mountain West region. This is a strategic sales position designed for experienced professionals who excel at managing complex enterprise relationships and closing significant deals with government entities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive account strategies for enterprise-level State & Local Government customers across the Mountain West territory
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with C-level executives and key decision-makers within government organizations
  • Identify, qualify, and close large enterprise deals through consultative selling approaches
  • Collaborate with solution engineers and customer success teams to address complex client requirements
  • Manage full sales cycles from prospecting through contract negotiation and closure
  • Forecast pipeline activity and maintain accurate sales forecasting and CRM documentation
  • Represent ServiceNow at industry events and government conferences within the region
  • Meet and exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 7+ years of enterprise software sales experience, with preference for SaaS or cloud platform sales
  • Proven track record selling to State & Local Government entities or similar regulated government sectors
  • Demonstrated success closing deals valued at $500K+ in annual contract value
  • Strong understanding of government procurement processes, budget cycles, and decision-making structures
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Territory management and self-motivation in a remote environment
  • Mountain West region presence preferred (Colorado, Utah, New Mexico, Arizona, Wyoming, Montana, or Idaho)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with ServiceNow or competing enterprise workflow platforms
  • Background in digital transformation or IT service management sales
  • Government security clearance or ability to obtain one
  • Experience with public sector sales methodologies (e.g., Sandler, Consultative Selling)
