The Role
Join our newly formed Product Team as a Shopify Developer and help shape its direction from day one. You'll work closely with our Product Owner and UX experts, contributing strategic input on new features while maintaining a pragmatic approach to MVP development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the technical implementation and continuous development of our Shopify store, including integrations with third-party tools such as Nosto, Klaviyo, Sobooster, and Reviews.io
- Design and build our digital marketplace for knitting and crochet patterns with ongoing technical refinement
- Drive the technical execution of our personalization strategy, from AI-powered product recommendations to individualized shopping experiences
- Implement custom sections, theme customizations, and new features with performance optimization in mind
- Automate processes, optimize technical quality, and maintain clean integrations across our tech stack
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of professional Shopify development experience with Liquid, Shopify CLI, Storefront API, and theme customization
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript with REST API and modern web technology expertise
- Proven experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor or Claude Code used productively in daily work
- Familiarity with web analytics (GA4), A/B testing tools, and third-party stack integration best practices
- Self-directed, structured, and solutions-oriented mindset with e-commerce thinking beyond code
- Fluent German language skills
