About the Team
SumUp's Point-of-Sale (POS) solution empowers cafes, shops, bars, hair salons, and other businesses to operate efficiently and grow. The platform offers a comprehensive range of features, including product catalogs, inventory management, business analytics, compliance support, and loyalty tools. Our Fiscalization team is accelerating fiscal compliance across Italy, Sweden, Norway, Belgium, Austria, and many other European countries while building pathways for third-party integrations and receipt fiscalization.
About the Role
As a Senior iOS Engineer, you will be critical to executing SumUp's Fiscalization roadmap. This position directly impacts the delivery of the New Market Fiscalization initiative and the release of core strategic staff management features that are foundational to company strategy and essential for aligning POS capabilities.
You'll collaborate with a dynamic, cross-functional team including Product Managers, Product Designers, Engineering Managers, and fellow engineers. This is an onsite role based in Berlin, Germany.
What You'll Do
- Execute the release of Fiscalization roadmap features, including Shift Management and Clock-In/Clock-Out functionality
- Implement new features and maintain in-app staff management features using Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) and iOS with SwiftUI
- Develop new screens in SwiftUI and KMP while collaborating with Android Engineers to ensure consistent UX across platforms
You'll Thrive in This Role If You Have:
- 5+ years of professional iOS development experience with SwiftUI
- Strong understanding of fundamental iOS architecture, design principles, data modeling, and API design
- Strong experience with functional reactive programming (Combine or Flow)
- Strong interest or experience in Kotlin Multiplatform and cross-platform mobile development
