About This Role

Join charity: water as a Marketing & Enablement Senior Manager and drive donor experience strategy at scale. This remote position sits at the critical intersection of marketing strategy and frontline enablement, where you'll translate donor insights into actionable journey frameworks while equipping the development team with essential tools, content, and systems to build meaningful relationships.

As an individual contributor reporting to the VP of Marketing & Partnerships, you'll be embedded within the Key Relationships team to understand their unique goals and needs. You'll shape strategies that create world-class experiences and campaigns that expand the major donor supporter base and increase lifetime value.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and implement customized major donor marketing strategy informed by donor insights and aligned with donor products
  • Design and implement end-to-end donor journeys from awareness through long-term engagement
  • Lead development of comprehensive email, SMS, and direct mail programs for major donor audiences across acquisition and retention
  • Enhance storytelling elements in marketing strategies to create compelling narratives that resonate with supporters and communicate brand story effectively
  • Provide regular reports and insights to leadership, identifying trends, improvement areas, and growth opportunities
  • Equip development representatives with marketing collateral, talking points, email communications, and engagement tools
  • Develop and maintain segmentation strategies for personalized, targeted communication working closely with Data & Analytics teams
  • Collect actionable insights through surveys, interviews, and feedback loops to inform strategy

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years nonprofit marketing or fundraising experience
  • 3+ years project management experience
  • Proven sales enablement background
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated success collaborating across teams and managing competing priorities
  • Strong understanding of donor journey frameworks and moves management
  • Expert-level project management skills with ability to lead cross-functional initiatives from strategy through execution

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with marketing automation platforms and CRM systems
  • Familiarity with nonprofit technology stacks
  • Track record with major donor program development
