About the Role

We're seeking a talented Software Engineer with dedicated focus on distributed systems to join our small, growing team. In this dynamic role, you'll wear multiple hats, directly engage with customers, and play a crucial role in shaping the future of our data platform. You'll work at the forefront of data engineering, distributed systems, and infrastructure—tackling challenging technical problems that impact how teams replicate and stream their mission-critical data.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Build column encryption features and launch analytics portals with schema change alerts
• Develop tooling to streamline and automate infrastructure workloads
• Introduce pipeline efficiencies by optimizing tradeoffs between virtual memory and disk utilization
• Design and implement native Change Data Capture (CDC) connectors for unsupported data sources
• Collaborate directly with customers to understand their data streaming needs

What We're Looking For

• Strong fundamentals in computer science with proven ability to build scalable systems
• Pragmatic mindset—focused on building the right solution rather than being right
• Comfortable jumping across the full stack and taking ownership of diverse technical challenges
• Vision for next-generation data platforms using stream processing and CDC to achieve zero-latency data movement
• Preference for experience scaling async systems and familiarity with gRPC, Kafka, Kubernetes, and Helm
• Proficiency in Go preferred but not required
• Commitment to working in-person 5 days/week in San Francisco's Financial District
