Job Description

About STATSports

Since 2007, STATSports has grown from a small Irish start-up into the global leader in GPS performance tracking technology. Trusted by the world's biggest clubs, leagues, and elite athletes, our innovative solutions sit at the intersection of hardware, software, and sport. We help teams optimise performance, reduce injury risk, and unlock insights that were previously impossible. Our products also support the next generation of athletes, from academies to grassroots level, giving them access to the same performance tools as the professionals.

The Opportunity

We're seeking a talented Full Stack Developer to join our Software team and help design, build, and evolve core applications that power STATSports products across web, desktop, and mobile platforms. This is a product-focused role where you'll take ownership of features end-to-end — from backend APIs and data models through to high-quality, user-facing experiences. You'll collaborate with Software Architects, Product Owners, designers, and fellow engineers to deliver scalable, reliable, and high-performance solutions used at the very top of sport.

If you enjoy solving complex problems, taking responsibility for what you build, and seeing your work make real-world impact, this role is perfect for you.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Design, build, test, and support full-stack applications using ASP.NET Core and Angular across web, desktop, and mobile environments
  • Lead the implementation of complex features, from API design and backend services through to responsive, high-performance front-end experiences
  • Work closely with Software Architects, Product Owners, and Senior Engineers to translate product requirements into robust technical solutions
  • Collaborate with UI/UX designers to deliver high-quality, usable, and performant interfaces
  • Own API architecture, ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, maintainable, and well-documented
  • Design and manage data models and databases, optimising for performance, reliability, and long-term maintainability
  • Write clean, testable code and maintain high standards of code quality across the entire stack
  • Participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement of development practices

What We're Looking For

  • Strong experience with ASP.NET Core and modern backend development patterns
  • Proven expertise in Angular or similar modern frontend frameworks
  • Solid understanding of database design and SQL
  • Experience designing and implementing scalable APIs and microservices architecture
  • Ability to work across the full technology stack with ownership and accountability
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Passion for writing maintainable, performant code and continuous learning

Position Details

  • Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
  • Location: Northern Ireland or Republic of Ireland (Hybrid or Remote options available)
  • Desired Start Date: March/April

💰 Compensation not publicly listed. Market estimate for similar roles: from $115K, varying by experience and location.
