The Opportunity

As a Client Partner at MAI, you'll join the go-to-market team at a critical inflection point for the company. You'll own the complete sales cycle—from prospecting through close and expansion—directly shaping how MAI engages and scales with eCommerce brands. This is a rare chance to build the playbook for selling AI-native solutions in an uncharted market, where your customer insights directly influence product roadmap priorities and GTM strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the full sales cycle: Generate 90%+ of your pipeline through strategic outbound prospecting and intent signal identification, positioning MAI as the growth multiplier for eCommerce brands.
  • Become a domain expert: Master performance marketing and AI agent optimization through product training and Google Ads certifications, understanding how AI optimizes campaigns, budgets, and ROAS.
  • Act as a trusted advisor: Guide eCommerce clients through transformation from agency-dependent models to AI-powered growth, understanding their profitability and scaling challenges.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration: Partner with product, ops, and marketing teams to share customer feedback, influence roadmap priorities, and develop scalable GTM processes.
  • Maintain operational excellence: Document activities, learnings, and performance data in CRM systems to continuously improve targeting and sales efficiency.

What You Bring

  • 3–5 years of full-cycle B2B SaaS sales experience with a proven track record of exceeding quota targets.
  • Direct experience selling advertising, AdTech, or marketing SaaS solutions to mid-market or growth-stage eCommerce customers.
  • Background as a Senior Client Partner at a high-growth technology company.
  • Deep understanding of sales methodology, discovery frameworks, and consultative selling principles.
  • Knowledge of performance marketing fundamentals, Google Ads, and eCommerce metrics (ROAS, CAC, LTV).
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills with both technical and business stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset with comfort in ambiguity and rapid growth environments.
