Position Summary

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Corporate Finance and Accounting, the Associate Manager of Corporate Finance and Accounting will implement the infrastructure and systems needed to support strategic objectives. You will be independently responsible for corporate accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, treasury, month- and year-end closing, and monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting to the organization. This role combines supporting strategic financial planning with independent hands-on accounting to support the mission and long-term sustainability of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage corporate accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and treasury operations
  • Execute month- and year-end closing procedures with accuracy and timeliness
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for organizational stakeholders
  • Ensure accuracy, transparency, and compliance with nonprofit accounting standards and donor regulations
  • Evaluate industry best practices and compare against internal systems
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and resource optimization
  • Support strategic financial planning aligned with organizational sustainability goals
  • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation

Location & Work Environment

This position is primarily remote/home office based. Job responsibilities may require periodic meetings, conferences, training, and travel to various locations. Employees within commuting distance to our Hallowell, ME office may opt for a hybrid arrangement.

Compensation

Grade 5/6 position. Maine pay range: $64,000-$93,000 annually. Salary varies based on geographical location and experience.
